"Mrs. Reed surveyed me at all times with a severe eye, but seldom addressed me: since my illness, she had drawn an even more marked line of seperation than ever between me and her own children appionting me a small closet to sleep by myself, condeming me to take my meals alone, and pass all my time in the nursery..." -Mrs. Reed pretty much places her in solitary confienment until she can figure out what to do with her. I would honestly like to know what exactly Jane did to Mrs. Reed for her to hate her so much. I mean its her fault the Jane had that fit in the first place so why is she so mad about the after affects/effects? and i dont think that locking Jane away from the world is helping her any either. I mean Mrs. Reed is probably causing perminent mental harm and crippling Jane socially.
